The top image is the first piece I created on photoshop. It doesn't seem like much but I wanted to create a small piece on how the world might be peaceful but there are issues surrounding it. I would like to say that all of the images used in this picture were free for anyone to use. To make this, I had multiple layers, each for a different image. I locked the background (the lake) so that didn't move. The first layer I added was the PNG of the fire on the trees. The color of the fire was too bright and didn't match the sky so I changed both layers of it to "Darker Color". Then I used the airbrush too to get rid of some extra flames that just looked out of place.
The next thing I did was look up a few PNGs of trash so I could put it near the water. For the trash piles 1 and 2, I changed the color on it to "Hard Light" so that it could match the green grass. Since the trash that is by the water is far away, I didn't feel the need to change the coloring on it and left it normal given that it is a huge trash pile that is on top of the grass. It didn't take much for me to complete this, I thought about adding a dark color to the image so that it could capture the dark feeling I was going for but I think that it being bright and colorful with all of the pollution and tragedies surrounding it was just as dark.
For these next images, I went with the same theme as I did in part one. The statement for this image was about the chaos that takes place in certain places, hence the Do Not Enter sign. I added people protesting as well because of the chaos. Along with that I added an oil spill to the water and garbage on the sides of the road, another indication of pollution.
To create this image I used just a handful of things. Everything that I used for this image was free for anyone to use. I first found a picture of the highway, then I locked that image so I didn't mess it up. Then I added the Do Not Enter sign and the people protesting in the distance just to indicate what was to come to the people driving towards the city. I added the oil spills afterwards, it wasn't easy finding a PNG of just a regular oil spill so I did my best with what I had. For the garbage I added it to the side of the road, the color of both didn't match the color of the picture so I changed both to Difference and it matched perfectly, making it look like it goes naturally with the image.
